Re-Imagining HCI In The 21st Century
Human–computer interaction (HCI) researches the design and use of computer technology focused on the ways computing technologies, interfaces and people interact with one another. HCI is a young area but a very potent one, which bring the world of the machines in play with diverse social contexts, cultures and users. It’s an interdisciplinary field with a set of diverse research domains coming together to create a broad research area under the rubric of HCI. The panel will be an attempt to bring practitioners and theoreticians in the field of HCI in India to debate, challenge and imagine anew what’s in store for this field and how might it pan out in the coming decades.The Panel will discuss innovative HCI innovations and their implications for the field. A special question on the state of HCI in India, its dominant trends and its scope for disruptive research and praxis.
