Robot’s Anatomy: ROS and RSA
Getting into a world of robots and drones – are we? But what does it take to build Robotic systems – come and witness a deep-dive of this truly emerging trend. This session has two presentations, one, on building an Autonomous Drone with ROS: The open-source Robot Operating System and another on Advanced Robotic Systems and Applications(RSA). Different types of robots can have wildly varying hardware, making code reuse nontrivial. ROS is an attempt to share and create a common open source platform. The first presentation will give an overview of ROS, its core modules and a demo with an autonomous drone. The RSA presentation aims to target fundamental understanding of the Robotics’ systems and applications. It covers topics such as what are market trends for RSA?; what are the business use cases across industries?; who are the RSA solution providers and what are the available technologies in the market?
